How to prepare for a Thai massage?

It is worth preparing for this unique ritual at home. Try not to eat heavy meals 1-2 hours before the massage and avoid excessive fluid intake. We also recommend taking a shower – a clean body is a sign of respect for yourself and the therapist. We encourage you to arrive 10 minutes early. This will give you time to choose the scent of the oil that will accompany you during the session and fill out a questionnaire about your health. You will also have time to change into the clothing provided by the salon.

If you want to use the shower on site, please arrive well in advance.

Massage etiquette

Thai massage is a fluid dance of pressure, stretching, and breathing. Each movement is performed with mindfulness, and its intensity is tailored to your needs. Before we begin, we will ask you about your preferred pressure level, but if your preferences change during the ritual, you can request a change at any time.

If you feel cold, hot, or need to use the restroom, please inform the therapists. At your request, we can also change the music or adjust the lighting. Remember that the treatment room is a space for you, and your comfort is our top priority.

End of the ritual

After the massage, we encourage you to end the ritual with a moment of silence. Take a few deep breaths, let the energy flow freely, and thank your body. If you wish, you can perform a gesture of gratitude towards the therapist – the traditional “kobkun kaa.” To do this, fold your hands as if in prayer and bow slightly while saying these words. It is a beautiful symbol of respect and gratitude that will surely please our massage therapists.

After leaving the treatment room, we invite you to enjoy a cup of aromatic matum tea, which will help you return to your daily routine feeling relaxed.
